Pi day! Next Year!

I got that new Raspberry Pi computer that could pretty much automate everything I own. But I need to automate it to start itself which has been my problem for a bit now.

2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out port, Audio(stereo mini) out, Video (Composite) out, Network port, SD card slot, 512MB RAM, processor and plenty of promise. It was originally created to teach kids about computing. I’m a grown-ass kid, so I decided that I have money to spend, let’s buy a Pi!

A potential application for this could be a continuation of my Oscars project this year. I created a time lapse camera out of a surveillance camera and a server. With a gift script given to me by an incredibly patient and talented IT guy, this workflow set up a server on an IP and grabbed a single frame every minute and put it in a watch folder. At the end of the day 1440 frames. Or 24 seconds, depending how you set your video up.

Maybe next year I won’t have to dedicate an entire laptop for this setup.

I call this one Tim Riggins

Maybe next year I can also use a RPi to deter anyone from moving it too. Because it kept getting moved, perspective wasn’t consistent. Still looked good! but could have been better.

Or maybe I could try this
